Animal Crossing: New Horizons x Colourpop
Tom Nook is quaking! The Animal Crossing: New Horizons x Colourpop makeup collection is finally here. Colourpop got in talks with Nintendo a few months ago for a collaboration on one of their games. Lo and behold, it was Animal Crossing. Island residents can now purchase four eye shadow palettes, three tinted lip sets, two powder blushes, a shimmery Super Shock Shadow, and glitter gel.
TETRIS x IPSY
In celebration of the Tetris brand’s 35th anniversary, they collaborated with IPSY, an online beauty retailer that was formed by Michelle Phan and other YouTubers. The brand wanted to pay homage to Tetris’ colorful building blocks by creating a 6 shade palette for their loyal following. The limited edition collection is mean to celebrate the different sizes, shapes, and colors of beauty.
PAC-MAN x Wet n’ Wild
The iconic game, PAC-MAN, has been reinvented into a makeup collection by cruelty-free cosmetic brand, Wet n’ Wild. The collaboration features two separate kits: the PAC-MAN Lip Kit and the PAC-MAN Shine Kit. The former includes two apple balms and four glosses inspired by the PAC-MAN ghosts (Clyde, Pinky, Blinky, and Inky). On the other hand, the latter includes: 9 shade eye shadow palette, an eye shadow brush, and a blush-lighter. The video game legacy of the hungry PAC-MAN lives on in your next eyeshadow palette.
Pokemon x Tony Moly
“Tony Moly! I choose you,” is what Nintendo said when they were picking a makeup brand to collaborate with. And, it was the right choice indeed. Korean brand, Tony Moly, served critical hit when they released their Pokemon collaboration to the public. They were so careful on the details of the collection that they matched the Pokemon to the formula of the product. For example, Squirtle is a water Pokemon, so all the products that are ultra-hydrating are given to Squirtle. We see what you did there, Tony Moly.
Kirby x Monosense
Here are three fun facts about Kirby: (1) Kirby is a male, (2) Kirby is an actual god, and (3) Kirby has his own makeup collection. The pudgy pink protagonist of the video game, Kirby’s Dreamland, has eaten his way to the world of beauty. The predominantly pink collection by Monosense is a wonderful addition to their ever growing number of collaborations with Nintendo. Kirby Cosmetics by Monosense currently features three lipsticks, three eyeshadow palettes, and a compact mirror.
