Whenever it’s about representing the Philippines in an international setting, our fellow Pinoys go crazy when it comes to support. We’ve seen it in every Miss Universe competition and through the millions of athletes who have competed for our country. It is only a rare occurrence, when the Philippines is recognized in a platform as large as Disney’s. The last most notable time was when Lea Salonga became an official princess for Disney. She was the singing voice of both Princess Jasmine and Mulan. In 1992 and 1998, she sang A Whole New World and Reflections, respectively.
