ÀMEN is the young local brand that create couture pieces for the everyday consumer. They have dressed multiple influencers and celebrities, such as: Janeena Chan, Debbie Then, Frances Beltran, and so much more. The brand is currently being run by designer and entrepreneur, Kyna Gem Sy. Despite only being 24 years old, Kyna has shown tremendous maturity and social responsibility when handling her brand. Not only is ÀMEN a local brand that provides a proper livelihood for local seamstresses, but it is also a follower of slow fashion. To top it all off, the young label already has a beneficiary for a percentage of their profits. That’s why we weren’t surprised at all when we found out that ÀMEN will be participating in Women’s Month through a creative platform.
For 2021’s Women’s Month, Kyna and her brand held a fashion show via Instagram live last March 5. Instead of having actual models wear her designer masks, she opted to create paper versions of empowering women to walk down the runway. Here are our top eight favorite masks from the ÀMEN SS21 Couture Mask Fashion Show.
