Chi and Gab Gibbs know how to turn a look. That is a fact. They’ve built a business and a following on their aesthetic and talent alone. From their design contributions in Neon Island to their ever growing YouTube channel, the Gibbs sisters do not know how to stop. Their level of success has only increased in the most personal way possible. Throughout the years, they have never jeopardized their aesthetic for the sake of following trends. Now more than ever, we can see the fruits of the labor in their newest music video with Moophs, Angel Baby. The duo has done it once again and have proven their prowess in the digital world.

If we had to pin point one thing we absolutely love about the video, it has got to be their outfits. The styling was on point. We didn’t know that heaven-meets-hell could be this chic. In the video the girls wore a total of two looks. Both of the looks were styled by Jana Silao, a freelance stylist and co-founder of wævy. We couldn’t get enough of the looks, so we just knew we had to sit down and get the 411 on the fashion of Angel Baby with Jana.

MEGAStyle: What was your inspiration behind the styling of Angel Baby?

Jana Silao: The Angel Baby looks were heavily influenced by Y2K fashion– the shiny clothes, vibrant make-up, and the vibe of the pop music videos which were popular during that era.

MS: How is it like working with Gab and Chi? Did they offer any creative input when it came to the styling?

JS: Gab and Chi were amazingly hands-on with discussing the styling direction with me. When they first tapped me to style for the music video, there was already a very detailed moodboard of what textures and silhouttes they would like to wear. Working with them is so fun because they are open to try and explore new things.

MS: What was the most challenging part about styling for Angel Baby?

JS: Since they are an artist duo, it is important to have cohesiveness in styling. “Same, same, but different,” as I would like to describe it. This challenge is my favorite part of the styling journey for Angel Baby, because they both looked so good together. It’s a very rewarding feeling.
