MEGA’s Best Dressed Picks At The 2021 Oscars
Considered as the Academy’s most historic ceremony yet, the world tuned in to this year’s Academy Awards as the star-studded event took place in Los Angeles, California. Typically being held in February, the ceremony was delayed in the hopes of lesser COVID-19 restrictions.
And, it was truly worth the wait. Known as Hollywood’s biggest night, the stars arrived in custom ensembles that many of us will be talking about for days.
From classic tuxes to a bright pink suit, here are our picks for best dressed men at the 2021 Oscars:
Steve Yeun
First time Oscar nominee Steve Yeun wore a custom Gucci three-piece suit with a silk bowtie. Yeun, nominated for Best Actor for his work in Minari looked every inch the leading man in this classic three-piece.
Lakeith Stanfield
One of the many who eschewed the classic suit and tie, Best Supporting Actor nominee Lakeith Stanfield donned a custom black Saint Laurent jumpsuit to the 2021 Oscars. His chutzpah paid off because we stan a man who can make an otherwise stuffy red carpet look cool and groovy.
Colman Domingo
Definitely worthy of a second look (and a third and fourth), actor Colman Domingo arrived at the red carpet in a custom hot pink Versace suit. According to the actor’s instagram post, the details of his ensemble took almost 150 hours to embroider. Well, we’ll certainly be talking about this bold sartorial move for more than that amount of time.
Daniel Kaluuya
Best Supporting Actor winner Daniel Kaluuya looked debonair as he walked the red carpet in his Bottega Veneta suit. Kaluuya, who won for his role in Judas and The Black Messiah, wore an all-black suit that was equal parts cool and sophisticated—which is how we want to be described when stalking a red carpet.
Leslie Odom Jr.
Looking like a real winner, Best Supporting Actor nominee for his work in One Night in Miami, Leslie Odom Jr. took his cue from Oscar himself and stood out in his gold Brioni suit. His hit ditty “Speak Now” was also nominated for Best Original Song.
