Official Miss Universe skincare partner, O’ Skin Care + Spa held its skincare maintenance seminar earlier today with Miss Philippines Rabiya Mateo, Miss Colombia, and Miss El Salvador in attendance. Fellow Filipina, O’ Skin founder, and CEO Olivia Quido-Co, asked Mateo what she’s been doing since her arrival in the US and the contestant replied that she’s been continuing her training, while also preparing herself mentally and emotionally. “Miss Universe is not just a physical competition; you really need to have emotional and mental stability in order for you to win that. So every day I aspire to develop, to grow as a person, as a woman,” Mateo said in the interview.
Despite the queen admitting in an Instagram Story that she’s been struggling to cope with jet lag from her first international flight, she was all smiles and glowing as she stepped out for the event.

Style Trend To Crop: Blush Pink and Structured Round Bags
Veteran designer Veejay Floresca who is most known for her skill to create fresh but fierce designs is responsible for the blush pink dress that our queen wore. The organza puff sleeve is more than a fleeting trend, as seen here it has become a staple trick to doll up any look. The square cut and body hugging silhouette also highlighted the Rabiya’s hourglass physique.
But what gave this its refreshing appeal is the shade of blush pink used and the statement accessories. As revealed by team RAIN x EM in our exclusive interview, they have created a set color palette for Mateo’s looks and it’s definitely pulling off.
Her accessories have also quickly become the talk of the town. The statement floral earrings she wears are by Christopher Lunar, who has adorned many beauty queens in the past, and her trendy, globe-shaped handbag is handmade by local women communities in Lumban, Laguna from Mindanao-based brand Vesti. Each detail of the ensemble served a purpose and even up to the smallest consideration of her face mask that’s embroidered with floral lace matched.
