Coming from the family who founded JMA Jewelry, Stephanie Ayson took on Pranca Jewelry to prove that fine jewelry doesn’t have to be perfect, and in those imperfections is what makes each piece unique to the wearer. Just take a look at their Baroque collection, which Ayson admits is one of her favorites as it embraces the natural curves and textures of freshwater pearls, making it a design that is bold but honest.
Just in her twenties, Ayson’s knowledge for the craft and passion to share it with others is also what sets her brand apart. While most jewelry lines will try to swoon you with fancy terms to persuade you into spending more than you can, Pranca offers a personal collaboration–asking the consumer what they want in their pieces instead.
With this they were able to bridge the gap between fine jewelry and fashion jewelry with modern pieces that are made to be different. “Expertly designed concepts for the sartorially unapologetic,” their brands states.
While the young designer-entrepreneur is honored to receive the MEGA Fashion Award 2021 (MFA), co-presented by RLC Residences for Jewelry Designer of the Year, she also offers it to the tireless local artisans who brought her designs to life.
