Is it really all in the stars?
With the arrival of their upcoming WeTV series Boyfriend #13 this July 2, MEGA Entertainment had a delightful exclusive sit-down with its stars, Sue Ramirez, JC Santos, and JC De Vera.
Taking the themes from their superstition-driven show, these three water signs talk about astrology, superstitions, and if the planets really do have a say on the most damning element of all: our love lives.

Sue – Cancer
Revealing that she gave her character Kim a “part of herself,” the 24-year-old actress talks candidly about being a personal believer of astrology and the powers of the universe herself.
“It’s not lang naman about luck, it’s about guidance also. When you have this positive energy because of your crystals, you attract good energy also. It’s something to look forward to when you call something out to the universe tapos ibabalik sayo. There’s something to hope for, it feels like something good is about to happen.
“Palaging magandang emotion yun, hindi man mangyari, at least along the way you weren’t worrying about it. It’s a positive way of taking things in.”
JC Santos – Pisces
When it comes to dating, JC De Vera went on to share his own hilarious superstitions when he was younger.
“Meron ako nung high school ako, nagtatago ako ng picture ng crush ko ‘tas kinikiss ko araw-araw kasi feeling ko magiging kami.
“Hindi naman nangyayari, pero pro-experience naman ako,” he joked.
When asked if there’s such a thing as someone being naturally lucky in love, the 32-year-old actor took time before he answered—and left us all with something to ruminate on.
“Depende din kasi sa mindset kung swerte ka or hindi,” JC began.
“Depende sa interpretation mo of the idea of love. Kasi baka mali din sine-seek mo, you’re probably just seeking validation, or because you’re competive. It depends.”
“I think when your mindset fixes itself about love, I think dun bibigay sayo yung taong para sayo.”
JC De Vera – Scorpio
For JC, the law of attraction showed itself through his manifesting of another celebrity: none other than Anne Curtis—when he was much much younger though.
“I remember when I was Grade 6, nilagay ko yung picture ni Anne Curtis sa wallet ko hoping that someday may isang Anne Curtis na dumaan.“
With discussions like always bringing enlightening talks and things to ruminate on, the trio’s newest series Boyfriend #13 is bound to be as illuminating as discussing the (somehow) secrets of the universe and superstitions
“Boyfriend #13 will be an escape, definitely,” Sue shared. “We had so much fun doing it and the outcome will be a reflection of how much fun we had. Hopefully our audience will feel the fun while watching.”
“Aside from it being a love story, it’s an unsung piece,” JC Santos shared. I think lahat ng friends natin meron tayong kilalang ganitong personality. It’s super relatable.”
With longtime comedian John Lapus at the helm, Boyfriend #13 could be a sign from the heavens ushering in a new kind of TV series catering to the Gen Z and millennial audience. The show will exclusively stream on WeTV starting July 2.
