March Rancy’s french training will always be part of his design foundation even as he carries his business in the local fashion arena. Studying in the Raffles Design Institute in Singapore and earning a double degree in Masters in Fashion and Luxury Management in IÉSEG School of Management and Istituto Marangoni in Paris, one can expect the utmost sophistication from his eponymous label.
Since his move to the Philippines only the biggest stars and society’s elite get to wear his exquisite pieces. His signature has always been artful draping that is structural yet successfully hugs the beautiful curves of the woman’s body.
Titled Joie De Vivre, a french term for the ecstatic enjoyment of life. The collection actually started with a confusing look on the future of fashion. “When I started to design for this collection, I had trouble finding inspiration due to the chaos of this pandemic. Until I realized, that I could use it to my advantage – by designing a collection as if the pandemic never happened – like that sheer joy of dressing. Where everything was normal – people being together in parties, friends having dinner at one’s backyard, rooftop drinks, that sensual feeling of going on to a third date, sunday picnics etc.” Rancy shared.
This collection was no different from his signature style as each piece embodied the Marc Rancy signature construction with it seamlessness and great fit. But what makes it different from his older collections is the injection of youthful joy via his embellishments and mix of colors. What resulted is a new phase on the brand’s aesthetic as it evolved into more wearable pieces while adding a jolt of wonderland into the mix of Rancy’s high-class pieces.
Today the Marc Rancy woman is definitely multi-faceted. She is still a madame in her own right but these new pieces showcase her warmth and her joy to be alive. Thanks to Marc Rancy’s newest collection, her cold shoulder melts into the warmest of smiles.
