With true determination and a tenacious attitude to achieve her dreams, beauty maven Glenda Victorio created her own beauty empire, Brilliant Skin.

Famed author and theologian, C.S. Lewis once said “Hardships often prepare ordinary people for an extraordinary destiny.” This rings true to many as seemingly insurmountable challenges always come to those who have the potential to be great. At the end of the day, it is up to her to harness this and use these learnings to build on herself. For Glenda Victorio and her now mega brand, Brilliant Skin, this was the true foundation of their success.
At a very young age, Victorio was already faced with much misfortune. At thirteen she shares how growing up in a broken family caused great challenges. Add to that money problems that didn’t allow her family to eat three times a day. One would think that it would break her spirit. But Victorio has always been ready to change her destiny. She started with getting herself into multiple online jobs just to make ends meet for. At nineteen she was struggling to raise her first born with her husband. From there she took her learnings from her online jobs and started her own online business selling wares from candles to slippers.
It was quite a hard road and it showed as Victorio found herself getting so many break outs. “I suffered from severe acne to the point that I lost confidence in every aspect of my life,” she shares. But true to Victorio’s undying spirit and putting her own destiny on to her own hands, she decided to research on affordable active ingredients she can use to help her skin condition. This was how she came upon her now iconic charcoal soap.
But as with every beginning, she knew that it won’t come easy. But now she was ready.
In 2016 she started the brand and soon it became viral because of its effectivity and affordable price points. In no time, Filipinas were using even her newest creation, B.S.E Rejuvinating Facial set that doesn’t only control acne but also whitens dark spots for younger looking skin.
