Ciara Sotto Feels “Hurt And Disappointed” Over Family’s Political Clash

When you mix family with politics, things are always bound to get messy. Such is the case with actress Ciara Sotto and her reaction to Senate President Tito Sotto and Senator Kiko Pangilinan both eyeing the Vice President post for the 2022 National Elections.

To give some context, Ciara is the youngest daughter of Vicente “Tito” Sotto. And while she isn’t directly blood-related to the Pangilinans, her mother is the sister of Sharon Cuneta, making them first cousins by relation.

Ciara has been known to keep mum on her father’s political life, but this time around she broke her silence.

While their family is caught in the political sphere, Ciara shared in a recent article that Kiko Pangilinan’s surprise VP run left her feeling “shocked and disappointed.”

It should be noted that Tito Sotto has expressed his intent to run as early as August of this year.

“I have always been quiet, ignoring negative, mean, and slanderous comments about my dad made by judgmental people, whether I know them personally or not, as if they know everything and us very well,” Ciara shared.

“I prayed if I should voice out my true emotions when asked about Kuya Kiko running against dad for VP.”

I cried because I am so hurt and disappointed. It made me feel that my parents were of no value after all. Ate [Sharon] has always been considered and treated like a daughter by my dad and especially my mom.”

“I will continue to pray for them, and of course, for my dad and his protection, wisdom, discernment, and I praise and thank God for giving me him as my earthly father.”

The 41-year-old star and pole enthusiast has since been outspoken about her support for her father’s Vice President run on social media.
