The showbiz world is filled with hearsays and so-called “marites’ behavior. So much so that celebrities often need to clarify their stand, or otherwise be held to a public trial.

Nadine Lustre and Her French Beau
Almost a year after her breakup with James Reid, Nadine has been spotted out and about with a French surf instructor, Christophe Bariou.
They’ve since been seen photographed in Siargao, where Christophe reportedly lives, and holding hands in a mall in Makati. Nadine hasn’t officially commented on their real score – so we just have to wait on the queen for this one.
Piolo Pascual and Shaina Magdayao
“Papa P” and his longtime friend Shaina Magdayao were recently seen cuddling up in a yacht while on vacation, rekindling rumors of a comeback for the stars.
The two first confirmed dating rumors back in 2017, when Piolo shared that he and Shaina were “exclusively dating.” It’s been speculated that they stopped seeing each other shortly after, but these new photos might be an indication of a reunion.
Paolo Contis and Yen Santos
Perhaps one of the most controversial rumored pairs right now is co-stars Paolo Contis and Yen Santos. After his public breakup with longtime partner LJ Reyes, Paolo was seen strolling Baguio with a female friend rumored to be Yen.
After mountains of hate, Paolo admitted that he was indeed with Yen, but clarified that she had visited him “as a friend.”
“I went to Baguio for 3 days dahil ayaw ko sa Manila at gusto kong makapag isip isip. Naging insensitive ako about the possible effects nung issue and I invited Yen for a day para may makausap since malapit lang siya sa North din,” the actor shared on Instagram.
“She went there as a friend. Hindi ko naisip na madadamay siya ng ganito. I’m sorry for this.”
Joshua Garcia and Ria Atayde
With Joshua keeping mum on the relationship department after his breakup with Julia Barretto, fans can’t help but pair him up with other celebs in the meantime. One such pairing is with Ria Atayde, whom Joshua spent a vacation with alongside their friends.
Though the photos don’t specifically show them being sweet to one another, fans pointed out that they were the only single people on the group vacation.
After the rumors circulated, Joshua went on to clear them up saying: “Napakamalisyoso niyo, ‘yun ang masasabi ko.”
Like the true friend he is, he went on to say that he would be lucky to have Ria as a partner regardless. “At kung kami man ay napakasuwerte ko, napakatalinong tao, napakaganda inside and outside. Wala ka nang hihilingin napakamaalaga niya. Actually sa circle of friends namin siya ‘yung parang nanay namin.“
Ria also laughed off the rumors and even sent the links to Joshua.
Ivana Malawi and Marco Gumabao
After photos of the two enjoying a karaoke night together spread on the Internet, fans were quick to congratulate the vlogger for dating the actor – but that actually wasn’t the full story.
“Never kami nagkaoon ng kahit anong relasyon,” Ivana clarified in a live chat.
“I’ve been actually getting a lot of questions about it, and gusto ko siya linawin na wala. So sa mga nalulungkot, pasensiya na. Pero gusto kong maging totoo sa inyo. There’s nothing. Para lang klaro sa lahat, wala.”
She went on to say that she is just simply touchy with all her friends, and Marco is no exception: “Wala along malisya kasi kahit sa mga friends ko, lahat sila, yumayakap sa akin.“
