Celebrity Parents Who Are Proudly Co-Parenting Their Children

There’s no guidebook in being the best parent you can be.

Defined as “sharing the responsibilities of raising a child without a romantic relationship”, co-parenting or joint parenting is typically the best way for separated partners to see their children grow up before their eyes.

Though they may not always agree on everything, co-parenting serves as the modern way of child-rearing, without unnecessary drama.

Here are some celebrity partners who are now openly co-parenting their children:

Andi Eigenmann and Jake Ejercito

Despite having a rocky start, Andi and Jake have become the model parents when it comes to raising little Ellie. Jake regularly spends time with his daughter, going as far as visiting Siargao for Ellie’s 10th birthday last November.

Meanwhile, Ellie also definitely enjoys spending time with her younger siblings, Lilo and Koa!

Kylie Padilla and Aljur Abrenica

The longtime couple share two sons, Alas and Axl and though they had their fair share of controversies in the past, Kylie affirmed on November that they are civil in terms of raising their sons.

When asked by her father what was the exact score between the separated couple, Kylie shared that “Okay na kami. Thank God!”

Basta ang importante, okay kami sa mga bata.”

Paulo Avelino and LJ Reyes

Paulo and LJ share a son named Aki borne from their three-year relationship that ended in 2013, but the two remain dear to each other as co-parents.

When asked how he and Aki spend time now that LJ and her children are living in America, Paulo shared that they talk on the phone most of the time, though their real bonding time is through the love of gaming: “Phone calls every now and then kung kailan siya free. Since baliktad ang oras, minsan masyadong late na para makausap ko siya, pero usually ang bonding namin ay gaming rin talaga.”

Lumaking mahilig din sa games ‘yung anak ko. Siguro nagmana sa tatay,” the actor quippted.

LJ likewise commended Paulo for being a present father, sharing in a recent interview with Boy Abunda that he is only one message away for his son and even provided support for his ex-partner through her breakup with Paolo Contis.

“He’s been there for Aki. We’ve been in touch especially siya ‘yung nag-message sa akin…Nagsabi lang siya na parang, ‘I know you’ve been going through a very difficult time.’ Siyempre ang iniisip niya rin si Aki. If anything daw that I need when it comes to Aki, I can always tell him.”
