Pageants have always been good for the economy. If a pageant is being held in your country, or even your city, a heavy flow of income will surely come your way. There may have been some expenses in preparation for the event, but with the help of sponsors and pageant fans swarming the place on the big day there will surely be more than enough to compensate. But, how does the pageant community help the local fashion scene? Definitely, in more ways than one. Beauty queens have always been aspirational figures. Men and women, look up to them for their stunning features, strong physique, and wise minds. Especially here in the Philippines, where pageants are much celebrated events. That’s why when a queen promotes a designer, retail brand, bank, or anything for the matter, people listen and sales convert.
Not so long ago, Bella Ysmael used her influence to help out a couple who were battling through troubling times. Jane and Jeff are a long time couple. During the start of the pandemic, Jeff was was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer, already at stage 4. On top of that, finances weren’t looking so good for the couple because of the ongoing worldwide economic crisis.
They were finding ways to make ends meet by selling everything under the sun. Although, none of these endeavors really kicked off. It was when they started selling activewear and got the help of Bella Ysmael that they started making the most out of their entrepreneurial pursuit.
“Jane and I are both big fans of pageants and we were both cheering on Bella, so we decided to reach out to her and we did not expect the type of immense support she gave us. Bella has been pivotal to the modest success we are experiencing. Through Bella we have been able to reach out to other women in the pageant scene and they are now reaching out to us! Through her content she has provided additional legitimacy to the brand, and has unknowingly provided us with even the most granular but significant of value such as our hashtag #livinginlovejane,” says Jeff.
Now, Love Jane is the go to spot for all pageant queens to get activewear for their daily trainings. Other women who have been spotted wearing Love Jane are Steffi Aberasturi, Jane Oineza, Sofia Andres, Roxie Baeyens, Maxine Medina, and more. They’ve recently put out their newest essentials line, which features must have basics for your fashionable closet.
“In MEGA’s July 2020 interview of Bella she said that one thing she has learned from her experience is
that, life is never sure, and she wants to live her best life– that cannot be more true about Love Jane,
particularly our experience of COVID-19, cancer, and commerce. We are all temporary fragile beings and
repeating what Bella said in the aforementioned MEGA interview, we need to live our best lives, and
that to us, is living in Love. Whatever your definition of Love is, pursue it, don’t let tragedy be an excuse
not to move forward; bringing us full circle to our hashtag coined by Bella #livinginlovejane,” says Jeff.
